Meet George

Data Scientist (Privacy Enthusiast)

George is a dedicated member of the FruitCast team, he joined us in May 2022 during a PHD internship and has since transitioned into the role of our dedicated data scientist. With a keen eye for identifying and resolving issues, George plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our team. He oversees the entire life cycle of our software, from inception to deployment and monitoring, acting as our in-house devops operator.

George holds a doctorate degree in Computer Science from the University of Lincoln, building upon his prior research experience at the University of Aberdeen. He enjoys the array of tools and technologies available to him in our environment, appreciating the opportunity to apply his sought-after skills to make a positive impact within our company.

Originally from Cyprus, known as land of the cats, George brings a diverse range of experiences and interests to the team at FruitCast:

Outside of work, George describes himself as a workaholic, dedicating his free time to furthering his software projects and refining his 3D printer. When he’s not immersed in technology, you can find him experimenting in the kitchen with his sous vide.
